Hello and welcome! My name is Janelle Gallardo, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I help support adults navigating mental and emotional challenges and utilize an approach that is tailored to the individual's specific needs. I typically work with clients seeking therapy for trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, career exploration, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life transitions. I also have training and experience with eating disorders (primarily binge eating) and sexual problems. I strive to create an atmosphere free from judgment. My hope is for my clients to feel heard, validated, and supported from the intake and throughout the treatment process. I approach therapy with empathy, authenticity, and respect, fostering a collaborative relationship where clients are empowered to express themselves openly. Goal setting is primarily started during the intake process-when the client gives a brief overview of what they expect and hope to accomplish during our time together. Goals are then periodically revisited throughout therapy to see if any adjustments should be made.
