About

I work with ages 8 to 99, on issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress, grief, trauma and anger management. I employ an eclectic approach to therapy to adapt to the unique needs of each client. I draw from several modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused and narrative therapies and family systems. I work with children using play therapy. I encourage and support additional ways to promote good emotional health including humor. Laughter boosts the immune system, relieves physical tension and leaves you more relaxed.

I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 30 years of experience. My style is personal and warm. I enjoy doing individual, couples and family counseling. I am very flexible with my hours and try to schedule new clients within the week. I am happy to have a phone conversation with you to see if I may be a good fit.

I think of therapy as a healing power, a treatment that helps us feel better. Therapy is about stories-stories clients tell their therapists and the more truthful and hopeful stories therapists and clients construct together. Therapy is a way to take care of ourselves, allowing ourselves to have a nurturing experience and to be proactive about feeling good.
