Thank you for taking the time to visit my professional profile. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Iowa, and am a compassionate advocate for mental health and wellness. Our mental health affects our physical health and I strongly believe we deserve to receive care for both. I have had the privilege of working with individuals, families, and groups in the mental and substance abuse fields for over twenty years in a variety of settings ranging from outpatient therapy to inpatient hospitalization. The treatment modalities I utilize include EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing) therapy, client centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, and gestalt. I provide skill building in the areas of emotional self-control, communication, co-dependency, and self-confidence in order to empower my clients to reach their life goals. Life can be overwhelming and emotionally distressing. It is during these times we can feel alone. Please know you are not alone.
