About

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 5 years of experience in outpatient therapy. My approach to therapy is client-centered, meaning you are actively involved in your own treatment. I believe in creating a compassionate, empathetic space where you feel heard, seen, and safe. As a Black woman in America, I have a unique perspective on life and growth, which informs my work as a therapist and deepens my compassion toward humanity. I specialize in women's mental health, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), LGBTQ+ issues, pregnancy, postpartum challenges, and stress. I earned my undergraduate degree from Houghton College and my master's degree from Eastern Nazarene College. Over the years, I have trained in several therapeutic modalities such as narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care.

Life is full of challenges and unexpected changes, and I understand that these can affect us in many different ways. My goal is to create a safe space filled with hope and compassion to support you on your journey. We all have stories, and I believe that you have the power to write the next chapter of your life.
