I believe in building a healthy therapeutic relationship in order to understand the needs and strengths of my clients. I strive to show compassion and empathy to individuals while challenging areas in which they identify they would like grow and change. I focus on using DBT skills such as mindfulness, emotions regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance in order to help patients change problematic behaviors. I work to help patients utilize their strengths in order to overcome barriers that interfere with their goals. I specifically offer DBT skills to assist with reducing problematic behaviors as well as increasing one's ability to regulate difficult emotions. I use a person centered approach in order to understand your experience and help you reach your goals. During my time at Evelyn Brandon Clinic, I treated patients from a plethora of backgrounds. I honor each individual’s story, working to create a comfortable safe environment in which to explore their needs. Additionally, I have specific expertise with the LGBTQ+ community.
