About

I believe that therapy is a place to get to know yourself better and I hope to assist this through providing a thoughtful and attentive therapeutic relationship. I take particular interest in supporting folks in identifying and unlearning some of the unhelpful and limiting narratives that we tend to develop. As we begin to identify and name these limiting ideas, beliefs and values and find their roots (often these roots have foundations in trauma/intergenerational trauma, systems of oppression, societal, cultural or familial norms to name a few). It has been my experience that we make room for self-compassion and acceptance.

I take a strong interest in unlearning body-shame, as well as unhelpful ways of relating to eating and food (e.g. ‘Diet Culture’). I take root in the principles of Health at Every Size and Fat-liberation. I am a humble and grateful lifelong student of the brilliant Fat-scholars, colleagues and loved ones who have aided tremendously in my un/learning process.

I remain on a lifelong journey of finding more radical compassion and acceptance in relating to myself and my body and am sincerely honored when I am entrusted with the opportunity to support others in their journeys of finding more peace and freedom in their bodies and relationship to food.
