About

I have been a clinical social worker in the mental health field since 1998. I want to first acknowledge that I live and work on the ancestral lands of the Kansa, Osage and Kickapoo Nations. I honor the elders past and present of these nations. As a trauma therapist, I recognize the devastating cost of US colonial policies and actions to these peoples.

I use SE (Somatic Experiencing) - a form of somatic therapy that listens as much or more to the "voice" of the autonomic nervous system as it does to the narratives and stories of the thinking mind. We will pause often. We will slow down. We will trust the wisdom of your human nervous system on its journey of healing and unwinding.

My goal is to help you live the most vital, purposeful life you can, with the help and tools of SE. This is not "traditional talk therapy." Instead, the focus is on building a bridge between the STORIES of your thinking self and the STATES of your autonomic nervous system - listening to both voices in order to form a holistic partnership.
