Parenting is one of the hardest and most fulfilling experiences that we can have, but it can sometimes feel like a constant battle. I have a deep respect for these complexities, and I would be honored to support you as a parent of an emotionally challenged child or teen. Teen clients that would be a good fit for me may be struggling with anxiety, mood disorders, low functioning autism, asperger’s disorder, peer relations, school issues, self- harm, self-image, family conflict, depression or life transitions. I have 30 plus years of experience with children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral challenges, including emotional disturbance, autism and special needs. I also serve adults with mood disorders and life adjustment challenges. I adjust my approach, depending on your individual need or comfort level. I have experience providing counseling to children and teens in school, home-based, and agency-based therapy settings. I also have experience with adult mental health counseling in agency and hospital settings. I was on the staff on St. Louis Children’s Hospital for several years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in child protection.
