About

Welcome! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Missouri and certified in DBT. I have diverse experience in working with teens and young adults in various settings, such as private practice, inpatient psychiatry, youth case management, outpatient substance abuse for teens, and adolescent intensive outpatient programming (IOP). I have also volunteered at a crisis hotline and a child development IRB research lab. I’m a proud Eagle Scout and a Big Brothers Big Sisters of KC mentor. My specialty and passion is helping teens and young adults. I provide in-office services.

Specialties: I have a certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychoeducation as my main therapeutic approaches. I help clients with a range of issues, such as adolescent development, addictive behaviors, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, sleep problems, LGBTQ identity, life skills, and self-care.

Population Focus: My specialty is providing individual counseling to adolescents (age 12 to 17) and young adults (age 18 to 24). I also have experience in facilitating therapy skills groups for adolescents. I hold a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in Missouri and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credential in Kansas.
