About

I am Howard Buckwold, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, divorce, co-parenting, self-esteem, anger, grief, and more across a diverse clientele, including adults, adolescents, children, and families. My therapeutic approach is personalized to meet each client's specific needs, utilizing a combination of person-centered/humanistic methods alongside cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, Gestalt therapy, existential therapy, and solution-focused techniques. I earned my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and my Master of Social Work (MSW) with Mental Health Certification from the University of Pittsburgh. I am proud to be an LGBTQ+ ally and am affirming of gender diversity, non-monogamous relationships, and kink communities.

In my practice, I strive to cultivate an environment of trust and safety, assisting clients in navigating their unique challenges. I believe that clients can greatly benefit from a blend of inward exploration and a focus on altering unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior.
