My name is Hope (they/them) and I am a Black, queer, nonbinary Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) who provides individual therapy virtually across North Carolina. My therapy style is person centered infused with warmth and openness. I deeply value and honor the relationship we build together. My focus is to journey alongside you and provide supportive tools and practices tailored to your needs. I have worked with mostly queer, trans, and transitioning adults and teenagers (16+) navigating relationship problems, identity questions, anxiety, school/work issues, and depression. My approach combines acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy with a Black feminist theory lens. I am committed to anti-racism and honor people of all genders and relationships. I welcome any emotions that may come up. I know therapy can feel challenging at first and sometimes overwhelming. Together, we can explore what approaches and practices work best for you at your pace. If you think we’d be a good fit, please reach out!
