The world does not always feel like it is set up for you to be a part of it. Struggles with panic, sadness, isolation, intrusive thoughts, identity, or feeling constantly overwhelmed by your environment and daily tasks and expectations make it all the more challenging. Neurodiverse adults experience the world differently, sometimes with diagnosed ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), they often face barriers to their social, emotional, and executive functioning. Many of my clients experience anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, phobias, and PTSD with or without underlying ADHD or ASD. Before starting my private practice, I worked exclusively with adults on the autism spectrum in Pittsburgh, PA. I provided diagnostic evaluations for adults, individual therapy, and managed a pilot program to integrate adults on the spectrum into psych rehab programs. I also trained clinicians to make their own practices accessible for adults with ASD. I work in collaboration with you to process your personal histories and embrace your individuality to improve mood, relationships, personal insight and life skills. I can help you find a way to overcome fears and obsessions, and pursue desired experiences by focusing on your strengths, encouraging effective communication and coping strategies.
