About

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with experience and interest in issues around anxiety, depression, relationships, as well as aspects of identity including ethnicity, immigration, gender, and sexual orientation. Over the past eleven years, I've worked with adolescents and adults in multiple settings including university college counseling centers, community mental health, inpatient hospital settings, as well as forensic facilities. I also have extensive training in assessment, especially personality assessment, which informs my therapeutic approach. Drawing from a number of theoretical orientations within Psychology, I believe that a supportive alliance is the sine qua non for effective therapy.

I have experience working with first, 1.5, and second generation immigrants, as well as foreign nationals. In line with these interests, I have published in peer-reviewed journals, presented nationally on South Asian American mental health issues, and held leadership positions within national psychological associations.

Please contact me for a free 15 minute phone consultation so we can discuss if this would be a good fit for you. I look forward to hearing from you.
