About

Hi, I'm Heather, a seasoned therapist having worked with some of the toughest and brightest children and their families for the last 10 years. I am a fully licensed masters level clinical social worker, and completed my graduate studies at Michigan State University. I have extensive experience utilizing CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) in practice, especially with clients who are dealing with anxiety and depressive symptoms. I am very well versed in working with hard to reach kids of all ages, but would love to work with adults too, and believe we are all kids at heart!

I want you to leave with confidence in yourself and the decisions you are faced to make on a day to day basis. If you are someone who (like most of us) struggles with automatic negative thoughts, I want you to leave with the tools to identify and challenge those thoughts and maybe even an idea of where they stem from.

You are the only expert of you. Ultimately, only you know where you want to be and what is important to you. I strongly believe that meeting clients where they are at, with a non-judgmental and inquisitive spirit, is crucial to both the healing aspect of therapy for the client, as well as my own continued growth as a therapist.
