About

I am currently in the process of an office transition and will NOT be taking new clients until Feb 2025! Hi I'm Heather! I specialize in working with adults who are struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, life transition, and relational distress. Through a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) lens, we will identify the factors that influence how you interpret the various struggles and stressors in your life. Once we better understand the needs and experiences of the individual and their body, we can move forward with building more supportive approaches and experiences of ourselves, others, and the world around us.

I am a trained and certified in Animal Assisted Therapy. My co-therapist is a medium sized dog named Chip. When animals are involved in the therapeutic process, this can help an individual view and accept themselves on an even deeper level. Chip helps create a space to model acceptance, and provide a unique chance for skill building and compassion.

As part of the human experience, we sometimes encounter events and stressors that require extra support. I hold a consideration for how someone developed their understanding and perspective of the world, while focusing on its impact now and how we can create more positive experience.
