I prefer clients who seek to improve their lives and want professional assistance in making needed changes in their self-sabotaging beliefs, faulty thinking, destructive behaviors, or abusive relationships. I served 29 years as a chaplain in the Army reserves, state-side and overseas, helping military personnel and their families. I have extensive training and experience in treatment for those who have been traumatized, or sexually abused, and who are registered sex offenders. My doctoral dissertation focused on intrafamilial sexual abuse. I have more than 35 years of experience treating victims of sexual abuse. As a non-denominational military chaplain for 29 years, church leader for 50 years, a graduate of three different denominational seminaries, and an international church consultant, I have a familiarity of many denominations and can provide helpful, practical insight into both individual and ecclesiastical problems.
