The ability to reflect inward, gain self-awareness, and understand how our experiences have shaped our beliefs about ourselves, others, and the world around us, is paramount to our growth as individuals. Understanding oneself and what shapes our behaviors is a key component to deepening self-compassion and living life authentically. I am a client-centered therapist who strives to create a collaborative relationship with my clients. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and therefore, it is essential that you feel safe to voice your needs, emotions, and thoughts in the therapy space. I have a background in health education and experience working in the public-school setting, which has provided me with valuable insight into the struggles that students and young adults might face. I primarily work with emerging adult and adult populations navigating trauma, sexual health and relational issues, depression, and anxiety. In therapy, I utilize complimentary techniques and methodologies from attachment, psychodynamic, internal family systems, and cognitive behavioral therapy. My clients describe me as an empathetic, warm, and personable. I care deeply and strive to work alongside each of my clients in their individualized counseling journey.
