About

Do you feel like you are in a constant battle with your emotions and your thoughts? Do you frequently find yourself in intense emotional distress and feel desperate to find a way out of it? Perhaps you've gotten so entangled in this that you've lost sense of who you are and what you're capable of. I work with individuals who are stuck in a cycle of avoiding and escaping their distress in ways that provide short term relief but prolong distress and don’t align with their values and/or future goals. I am committed to working with you to practice more effective, value-aligned ways to manage life's inevitable pain and challenges.

I practice Contextually-Focused Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) which is a combination of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) within the framework of DBT. In short, C-DBT is a person-centered approach that uses mindfulness, exposure, emotional experiencing and acceptance-based strategies.

I value building authentic relationships with my clients and know first-hand that healing happens within accepting and validating relationships where there is nothing about you that you have to do or change to be enough and to matter. If we work together, you will find that what is important to you is important to me, and I am committed to your success.
