Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, intimidating, even confusing. As a therapist, it is my goal to create a safe space in which you can explore life’s difficulties and to help you find your path to healing and growth. I have experience working with trauma, interpersonal and sexual violence, family of origin issues, anxiety, mood disorders, and gender and sexuality issues. My approach to therapy is anti-oppressive, strengths based, and empowerment focused. I incorporate strategies such as harm reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Together we will identify patterns in your life, develop strategies for change, and wrestle with life’s complexities. I try to see my clients for who you are, where you come from, and what you are bringing with you. If you are looking for a therapist who will: listen and affirm, hold space for big feelings, challenge you, laugh with you, and help you grow, please reach out. I look forward to working with you.
