When you are physically ill you turn to your doctor, hoping they can help you feel better. Problems like depression, anxiety, impulsivity, uncontrollable anger, guilt, or low self-confidence can be as painful, if not more so, than physical illness; they can also create serious relationship and work difficulties. I have over 25 years of experience and I have helped many adults, adolescents, and couples who had received limited or no benefit from previous therapists, other doctors, or medications. I work well with people who are skeptical of, or intimidated by, talk therapy. For the last 15 years I have been clinical faculty of the Weill Cornell Medical College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where I teach medical doctors courses each year on counseling skills, personality types, and empirically-based talk therapy research. I work to help free individuals from fixed, long-standing, unsatisfying patterns of living. After meeting for the first time, we should know if I can be of help to you. Many men and women have sought long-term experiences with me that markedly improved their overall wellbeing, productivity, and success in relationships and work. Other people have benefitted from a few sessions with me, focused on immediate concerns.
