My name is Gianna Orr, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Denver, Colorado and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with teens and young adults and specialize in trauma, anger, anxiety, depression, and stress, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help my clients learn skills and techniques to support more positive mental health. I tailor my approach to each client individually in order to provide support specific to their needs. A psychodynamic lens is my go-to style as I feel it's necessary to get to the root of the issues in order to develop the most effective skills. I use aspects of mindfulness, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy to build a strong therapeutic alliance with clients. This allows clients a safe space to talk about the difficult topics. My communication style is open and honest. I take the time to listen actively and provide a safe space for my clients to talk about anything. There is no room for judgment here, only support.
