About

I believe that we each have an innate force that drives us towards wholeness and the fulfillment of our individual  potential. However, life experiences can lead to a break from our personal experience of the soul, resulting in a deep sense of loss and isolation from self and others. I work collaboratively with my clients to remove obstacles that block the connection to a deeper experience of the soul and authentic self, and then move towards the realization of a fulfilling and purposeful life. "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there... " Rumi

I utilize an eclectic approach that includes depth-oriented, somatic, Internal Family Systems and CBT techniques. My work is grounded in compassion and mindfulness. My specialties include trauma, problems related to childhood/family issues, sexual abuse/assault, creating and maintaining fulfilling relationships, depression, anxiety, and attachment issues.

Effective therapy takes place within the context of a trusting relationship between the therapist and the client. My style is highly relational. I have been both client and therapist, and after 20+ years of experience, I find that an honest, direct, compassionate, and humorous approach is the most rewarding and the most effective in facilitating change.
