About

I approach therapy from a strong person centered perspective. I believe that all persons have the ability to change. I utilize an active listening, non-judgmental approach that allows clients to utilize their own native ability to solve their own problems. I believe that every person has a strong drive to expand and grow and to achieve their fullest potential. This potential can be frustrated by many of the challenges presented by life but it can never be eliminated. As I see therapy, it is a vehicle for a person to realize and release that innate potential.

Will see people for most mental health issues. 13 years old and up. Individual counseling. Teens highly welcome. Some specialty in couples counseling and anger management. Will do family counseling upon request.

The Journey: One of 9 children. Raised in poverty. One parent both mentally ill and alcoholic. The other intensely religious. I hated my parents. I stopped hating them. I was no longer able to recall why I hated them. They're gone. I'd give anything to have them back.
