My approach involves meeting each individual person where they are when they start therapy and forming a warn collaborative relationship. I provide a safe and comfortable environment in which people can explore the concerns that brought them into psychotherapy. Relationships are complex and people often want to understand more about how they interact with others and evolve in a way that promotes having better relationships. My therapeutic work incorporates psychodynamic and humanistic approaches as needed for a particular person and situation. I provide shorter-term, problem-focused, and longer term more intensive psychotherapy. I specialize in psychodynamic psychotherapy for anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I work with people adjusting to Seattle after relocating. I have 25+ years of experience doing psychotherapy. I am originally from New York City and I have been practicing in Seattle in Queen Anne and in Burien since 1992. I have been a clinical faculty member of the University of Washington Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Contact me to discus how I can help you and to see if we are a good fit.
