I have 30 years of experience helping people work through emotional, psychological and relational issues, both as a pastoral counselor for 13 years, and for the past 20 years as a licensed mental health practitioner. I am Grace oriented which means I take a nonjudgmental, accepting approach with clients. Having experienced the excruciating pain of loss, and the subsequent panic and anxiety that can accompany it, I can empathize with the pain of many of my clients. I have learned life changing insights into how to make relationships work, some from education and much from life experience. I believe one of my strongest attributes is the ability to create a safe environment for my clients to explore all issues without fear of guilt or shame. One of the best compliments I received was from a man with a different sexual orientation who said: "I know we do not agree in this area, and yet I have never once felt any negative judgment from you."
