About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years experience and work with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds. I work with couples around relationship struggles, communication issues, conflict management, and building stronger and healthier relationships. I also work with people around worry/anxiety, sadness/depression, work-home life balance, stress, making career changes, shame, grief, and life transitions. In our work together, people often learn more about themselves, understand better the way they think and feel, and live more consciously so they can feel more empowered/centered in their choices and lives.

I customize my approach to each person's/couple's needs. With individuals, I mostly use the psychodynamic treatment modality, which means addressing current struggles, exploring your "unconscious," and taking an in-depth look at your past (early/previous experiences and relationships) and how it's influencing your present and what you are doing currently.

With couples, I completed Level 2 Training in the research-based Gottman Method Couples Therapy and use the Gottman Method in my work. This includes a comprehensive assessment of each couple's strengths/needs and a treatment plan tailored to each couple. In both my individual and couples work, I also do cross cultural work and identify as a person of color.
