Evelyn Vedar, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT126538). I have been working in the mental health field for eight years in various settings. Throughout the years, I have gained a better understanding of human behaviors from clients, advocates, colleagues, and supervisors with whom I worked with. My current clinical practice is mainly focused on helping survivors of domestic violence. I typically work with adult clients who are dealing with anxiety, anger issues, family conflicts, trauma, and depression. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution Focused in treating issues such as trauma, grief, anxiety, self-esteem, anger, and depression. I give utmost importance in establishing rapport with my clients at the start of the therapeutic process. My key approach to therapy is Client Centered, which conveys an understanding and compassion to clients' experiences and perceptions. I encourage clients to think and come to conclusions for themselves and support them in finding their strengths.
