Where is the village?! I ask myself this, just as you do. As parents we are constantly trying to integrate self care into the obligatory tasks we feel pressured to do daily. Grief, and particularly not having support from your own parent(s) as you navigate "adulting" and/or parenting further complicates things and adds to the weight of our stress. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and have particular interests in maternal mental health, anxiety, grief, and women's issues. I have a particular passion in working with women who have lost their own mothers and those experiencing grief related to parent loss. I am a LMSW with experience in mental health in a variety of settings, including emergency care, inpatient psychiatric care and outpatient behavioral health. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing and offer a person-centered, strengths-based approach to meet the unique needs of each client I believe asking for help is a sign of strength. My goal is to provide every individual I have the pleasure of working with an opportunity to see and appreciate their own inner strengths and abilities. Take the first step in your wellness journey and contact me today to see if I am the right fit for you.
