Hello! My name is Erin Primeaux, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Lake Charles, LA working with clients all across Louisiana via telehealth. I work with adult clients with multiple areas of focus including depression, anxiety, stress, grief, perinatal mental health, and women's issues. The major theories and techniques I utilize in my practice include but are not limited to the following: client-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, strength-focused, reality therapy and motivational interviewing. These approaches will be used to help clients identify strengths as well as problem behaviors and patterns, and then use those strengths to facilitate meaningful and fulfilling change. I enjoy working with adult clients (18+) that are looking for a collaborative approach to counseling. My journey to being a therapist came out of a calling to come to understand and help others. I have found purpose and fulfillment in bearing witness to clients creating and embracing change in their lives. My communication style is compassionate and direct. I strive to empower clients through understanding and acceptance.
