About

I don't believe in the ideal client. I believe in real people in need of real help. If you're human, looking for a shoulder to lean on, and are hoping to learn a little something along the way than I may be a good fit for you. My job isn’t to judge or criticize. My job is to see, hear, accept, and encourage you. I am here to see you for who you are and gain your trust one hour at a time. I consider myself a generalist therapist, which means I think I am competent in working with a broad range of concerns. If I do not think I am competent with a particular concern you can trust that I will get you in touch with someone who is!

My trifecta of treatment primarily consists of Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Through these three theories I focus on helping you build trust within yourself while also establishing a solid foundation for learning. I pair validation and encouragement with skill building to empower my clients.

Perhaps there's a part of you that wants to reach out and a part that feels nervous. That is okay! I encourage you to hold space for both of them and let them guide you in your next steps. This is a big decision! If it feels right, please reach out! I would love to hear from you. I am currently accepting new clients! My website is www.voigniercounseling.com.
