Dr. Marquez earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston College and her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Child and Family Psychology from the University of North Texas. During her training, Dr. Marquez worked in community mental health, integrated care facilities, community advocacy, college counseling, residential treatment, and the Veterans Affairs health care system. Dr. Marquez has over 7 years of experience in providing brief and long-term therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.

Her approach to therapy utilizes family systems, attachment, and humanistic theories. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
