Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Hi– I’m Emily, and I am glad you are here. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker practicing in the Washington, D.C. area. My services may be right for you if you are an adult dealing with any of the following: acute or complex trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment challenges, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues, postpartum challenges, chronic health issues, or grief. I use a psychodynamic lens to understand your current life themes and challenges through the context of your previous life experiences. Our work together will also use principles of attachment theory, internal family systems, and trauma psychoeducation to support therapeutic needs from a holistic viewpoint. I believe that therapy helps us gain insight into our internal world, strengthening sense of self, relationships, and meaning-making of past challenges. I approach therapy as a collaborative relationship in which I have the honor to accompany people in their journeys. I look forward to hearing more about you and your story.
