About

I work with individuals and couples 18 years and older who live in Alaska or Idaho and who are experiencing challenges around sexuality, gender identity or gender roles, and within their relationships. I counsel from a framework of anti-oppression and intersectional feminism and I support people of all genders and sexual orientations. I am also happy to work with people in non-conforming relationships such as open relationships, swinging, and who are polyamorous. In addition, I work with people experiencing anxiety and/or depression, and with people who want to process overwhelming events and circumstances in their lives.

I use a range of modalities including motivational interviewing, non-violent communication practices, mindfulness, EMDR, somatic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and IFS theory while counseling from a person-centered approach. I apply concepts from John and Julie Gottman and Esther Perel in my work with couples.

I strive to facilitate self-understanding, reduce client shame, and promote self-acceptance. People I've worked with have expressed that I provide a non-judgmental space for self-reflection, which has allowed them to feel accepted when working through difficult themes. I enjoy supporting people as they learn to better understand themselves.
