I specialize in working with couples and adult individuals and have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, an empirically validated model to decrease relationship distress and increase closeness. As an emotionally focused therapist, my approach is grounded in the belief that having fulfilling relationships is essential for wellness. My background in trauma also informs my practice, as many of us have experienced some type of relational/developmental trauma in our lives. It is my goal to create a safe and compassionate environment where we can explore the stuck parts of your life and establish changes that last. Both couples and individuals can get caught in a negative cycle that leads to miscommunication, disconnection, and loneliness. By working together to slow down the process, we are able to create space for greater understanding and compassion. Change is possible, and it's an honor to help guide clients through their pain into a greater sense of well-being. That first phone call or email is the hardest part! I aim to make the process as comfortable as possible, while making sure we're a good fit. I offer a free phone consultation to help with the transition. I hope you make contact via phone, email, or my website so we can get started!
