About

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults. My experience is primarily with depression, anxiety, and severe and persistent mental illness diagnoses, along with working with folks who are LGBTQIA+ identified. I believe that therapy should be individualized, and encourage clients to be open about what they hope to get out of their experience. I utilizes components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness, while also incorporating a strengths-based lens.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from UNC Chapel Hill. I also completed my undergraduate degree at UNC Chapel Hill in Psychology with minors in Women’s & Gender Studies and Sexuality Studies. I have previously worked in an adult inpatient psychiatric hospital and with adolescents who have experienced foster care.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my spouse, watching films on the Turner Classic Movies channel, reading books of all genres, and working on knitting or embroidery projects. All activities are typically done with my rescue dog not far from my side.
