I work with children, adolescents, and young adults in the areas of mood, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, and ADHD. I especially enjoy working with older teens transitioning into more independent functioning, play therapy with younger children, and supporting and guiding parents to better manage parenting challenges. I strive to create a welcoming, warm, and accepting therapeutic setting. I work to build on clients' unique strengths while also helping them to gain a better understanding and ability to manage patterns of thought and behavior that contribute to current concerns and difficulties. I have extensive clinical experience in a variety of settings. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Tufts University School of Medicine/Boston VA, and a year of post-doctoral training at a residential child and adolescent treatment program. My most recent work was in an outpatient pediatric clinic providing diagnostic assessments and psychotherapy. I use a range of interventions including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, insight-oriented therapy, and parent guidance. I have training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). I am also a yoga instructor (RYT 200) and integrate yoga and relaxation techniques into my work.
