About

I view therapy as a collaboration between patient and therapist. We are a team with a common objective. When you come in, we will first complete a thorough intake, and then put together a treatment plan that meets your individual needs. During therapy you will learn skills and techniques which you will practice in between sessions, and implement in your everyday life. I believe that if people understand what we are doing, why we are doing it, and how it is going to help them, then they are more likely to engage in treatment, and benefit more from therapy. When you are ready to end therapy, you will take these skills with you.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an evidence based talk therapy treatment modality. CBT is goal-oriented, and often short-term in nature. CBT helps people to develop healthier, more objective ways of thinking, breaks unhealthy patterns, and teaches effective coping skills, thereby allowing people to achieve their goals.

I strive to create a warm, open atmosphere within the therapeutic environment. I see the therapeutic relationship as accepting and genuine, and develop strong working relationships with my patients. I look forward to hearing from you, and working together to help you achieve your goals, and live a fuller, healthier, more satisfying life.
