Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I consider the therapeutic relationship very important, as is the fit between counselor and client. I like for our work to be collaborative and interactive, so it is together that we will be navigating your path of awareness and unfolding. I consider myself an eclectic therapist, drawing mainly from Attachment, Relational, and Emotionally Focused Therapy models. I enjoy working with both couples and individuals, helping you have a new corrective emotional experience so you feel safer and more grounded within yourself and between you and others. As children, we all make the best choices we can in navigating our youth. These choices are in fact instrumental in learning to cope. However, these same ways of coping as children, often do not serve us well in adulthood. They can actually be detrimental to us. Together, we will unearth long-standing coping skills, that are holding you back from being vulnerable. Exploring your fears and longings within a safe place, and with someone whom you trust, will bring you much deeper sense of self contentedness, and a deeper understanding and connection with yourself and with your love partner.
