Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
We all need assistance at different times in our lives to navigate through challenging opportunities. As a therapist I am an advocate for healing, growth and a more authentic life. I work with adults who are dealing with loss, anxiety, depression, anger management, identity issues, trauma and those wanting a deeper more fulfilling life. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a powerful, research-based therapy technique that is very successful in helping people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, disturbing memories, post-traumatic stress and similar emotional problems. I use EMDR and other modalities to work with adults. I view the healing process from a holistic perspective. I see the therapist as a guide that explores with the client their innate healing capacities. The therapist is available to facilitate and help activate the inner healer. The modalities I use include EMDR, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems and talk therapy. My practice is in Anderson, SC at Anderson Center for Mindfulness. I received my Masters in Social Work from Smith College, School for Social Work. I bring my training as an RYT-200 certified yoga teacher to my practice. I'm also a Reiki Master and Ama-Deus practitioner.
