Dr. Winston works with adults, children, teens, couples and families with a variety of presenting problems. She specializes in working with clients struggling with depression, low self-esteem, adjustment issues, couples intimacy issues and a range of childhood difficulties. Dr. Winston also specializes in gender and diversity issues as well. Her philosophy is to promote a healthy lifestyle for the individuals and families that she works with and to help those in need to set attainable goals for themselves. She works from a structural and strategic perspective in therapy. As a trained marriage and family therapist, coming from a systemic, family-centered approach, Dr. Winston works to encourage her clients to live their life at a comfort level that works for them.
