As an Asian American woman and first-generation immigrant, I learned to explore and honor the intersectionalities between my different identities, which helped me to better relate to those who may hold similar spaces. I help adolescents, adults, and families with anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, acculturation and immigration issues, academic and career stress, Asian American mental health, interpersonal issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress, and trauma. I also provide gender-affirming mental health care to the LGBTQIA+ community. I aim to provide patients with culturally sensitive and strengths-based care using a relational approach that integrates cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, acceptance and commitment therapy, positive psychology, and multiculturalism. Outside work, I enjoy spending my time with family and friends in activities that most often involve food, laughter, nature, and fun stories to be shared later. I also enjoy bike riding, strength training, hiking, singing in the car, traveling, and playing video and board games.
