Welcome to Timberland Counseling. I am Dr. Steven Glasser, a dedicated and compassionate professional counselor committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward mental well-being. With a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and and doctrate in Counseling Education and Supervision, I have spent 15 years working in various counseling environments, where I developed a passion for helping clients navigate their personal challenges and achieve their goals. Throughout my career, I have gained experience addressing a wide array of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, substance use, food relationships, kink/BDSM, non-monogamous relationships, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a belief in each person's unique capacity for growth and healing. Therapeutic Approach: My counseling style has a foundation in Adlerian Theory where the client and counselor work together in a person-centered framework, with the therapeutic relationship as a primary focus, and an understanding that we live and function within a community.
