About

As a psychologist, I offer a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to therapy. I work with adults experiencing a variety of concerns, including unhealthy stress, anxiety, a diminished sense of connection and joy in life, significant transitions, and other issues impacting their well-being. I help clients improve their functioning and strengthen their capacity to handle the challenges of day-to-day life. I also support clients in deepening their self-awareness, increasing their understanding of their relational patterns, and living their lives in ways that are aligned with their needs and values.

My approach integrates attachment theory and psychodynamic therapies, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, multicultural considerations, and the connectedness of our minds and bodies. You can expect me to integrate elements of these therapeutic approaches in ways that are tailored to your needs, strengths, and desired growth.

I deeply value the opportunity to support my clients’ unique paths toward wellness and wholeness. I offer a free phone consultation to discuss what is bringing you to therapy, your therapeutic goals, and my potential capacity to offer you the support you deserve. I look forward to talking with you about your therapy needs. www.sandynewtontherapy.com.
