Striving for mental health and wellness in a society with as many issues as ours is hard. Finding a therapist to support you in that, can sometimes feel even harder. What criteria do you base your decision on? Degrees, years in practice, areas of expertise, whether they still meet people in person... But what a profile and your research cannot tell you, happens to be the most important criteria: if the two of you will "fit.” The best and quickest way to know for certain is to schedule the appointment. I work with people who are struggling to authentically connect, and I help them to develop a stronger sense of self so they doubt less, and are present more. Many of my clients have experienced traumas throughout their lives that have changed the way they think about themselves and the world. Therapy can help reconnect us with our most joyous selves. Through a blend of Mindfulness, "parts work," EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy, I hold space for my clients to identify, feel, and accept their feelings while recognizing what is within their power to change. I witness people break free from years of being stuck in their same patterns and celebrate with them as they celebrate their wins.
