The Center for Cognitive Therapy, St. Louis, provides treatment for those suffering from a variety of emotional issues, including depression, anxiety, family, marital, aging, and childhood problems. CBT has been found by research to be one of the most effective treatment modalities. The Center's director, Donald F. Sloane, LCSW, has over 44 years of clinical experience, and has taught at Washington University in the graduate school for 17 years from 1990 through 2006. Don has given many seminars and keynote addresses at major conferences. He has also provided trainings at a number of Fortune 500 companies.

Our specialty is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness techniques. From 2007 to 2015 Don traveled the country with PESI/CMI Premier Solutions giving a series of talks on CBT & Mindfulness techniques and how they can be useful in treating a variety of illnesses, such as depression and anxiety disorders. He trained over 7,500 therapists in 150 cities.

In addition to his interest in Buddhist psychology, Don is a member of the Buddhist community in St. Louis. He is closely affiliated with the Mid-America Buddhist Association located in Augusta, MO, and the Buddhist Council of Greater St. Louis. He also has extensive knowledge of Jewish religion and culture.
