About

"What good is psychotherapy if you're up to your a** in alligators?" A phrase that was used by my favorite professor in graduate school. My goal as a licensed clinical social worker is to meet individuals where they are in life presently, whether they need to process ongoing psychological challenges, or current anxiety and stress related to everyday concerns. With my patients, I want to help process through feelings, thoughts, and behaviors and help facilitate a better understanding of any underlying issues. Ultimately, helping individuals to be able to live a more healthy and productive life.

My specialties including helping those who experience depression, anxiety, cognitive distortions, mistaken beliefs, and fears to name a few. I have also provided therapy for those people who suffer with addiction and substance abuse issues. Specific diagnoses include major depression, anxiety disorders, bi-polar disorder, borderline personality disorder, gender related issues, substance abuse and addiction.

I practice in an empathetic and supportive environment. I tend to be process oriented and solution focused, helping my patients reach a conclusion organically, rather than give the "answers." Sessions are tailored specifically to what the individual needs at that time.
