My name is Diane Foley and I am a licensed mental health counselor. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR practices in my approach to therapy. I work with clients who experience symptoms of depression and anxiety. I also treat individuals who struggle with anger management, grief, PTSD, stress, parenting and family issues, and romantic partner issues. I am an experienced teacher so I also assist with teaching coping skills and emotional regulation to teens and children of young ages. I create a non-judgmental environment of trust. I am honest and I hope that clients will gain a sense of hope as they work with me to decrease their symptoms. I help clients create SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound) and use the feedback the clients give to monitor these goals. I was a teacher for many years, and I watched my students struggle with emotional difficulties because of family conflict and generations of mental health concerns. I changed careers so that I could help decrease some of this emotional trauma in our world. A calm and inviting atmosphere with honesty and no judgment or criticism
