My name is Destiny Ulonnaya and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over five years of experience in the field. I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I will partner with you to create a safe, non-judgmental space for processing and exploring life’s challenges. Together, we’ll discover how to harness your power of choice and the strengths I know you possess. Through honest exploration and conversations, centered on curiosity, validation and desire to understand you and also help you untangle those knots, I will utilize a client centered approach, CBT, DBT, solution focused interventions etc to guide us towards achieving your goals. My journey to becoming a psychotherapist stems from personal experiences in a community and culture where mental health is often stigmatized. This background has fueled my desire to understand the complex dynamics that connect us while also highlighting our unique differences.
