About

I understand how difficult it is to find balance when we are faced with trauma, depression, anxiety, and chronic pain. My goal is to offer you tangible tools and evidenced based therapy that reduces the challenging experiences you are facing. I work with you as a partner to find the path to move forward to reconnect with all that is life giving in your world. Finding ourselves, even when we feel so changed by violence, injury, stress, or disease, can provide a new path. Life, though not the same as before, can be good again. My strongest belief for you is the shadow will pass and your light will remain.

My own 20 plus years of experience working with survivors of violent crime, in medical systems, and in carceral systems, has allowed me a window into the challenges faced by those of you awaken to emotional and physical pain, feelings of loss, and fear that it may not get better.

“Trauma is not what happens to you, trauma is what happens inside you as result of what happens to you." Dr Mate helps us to understand how we internalize our traumas. My many years working with clients, and my own experiences have given me a window into how those events are held in our bodies and spirits.
