About

I am genuinely interested in your unique life experiences and who you are. While we naturally tend to avoid feeling, acknowledging or expressing painful emotions, staying away from them does not ultimately make us feel better. I will help you feel empowered to address those memories, thoughts and feelings that are difficult to get into. I’d love to work with someone in helping them better understand themselves, their past experiences and choices. I have extensive experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, infertility, family and relational conflicts.

I tend to focus on relational aspects and strive to help my clients identify their purpose in life. I utilize an integrative theoretical framework including CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy and psychodynamic therapy. I am not here just to listen; I am here to help you examine your beliefs, values and become aware of unhelpful thinking patterns.

Therapy will only work if the client and therapist have been able to develop a relationship based on honesty and trust. One of my guiding principles is to be compassionately honest with my clients. I have deep respect for someone’s unique experiences, no matter how different they may be from mine; I believe everyone has individual strengths to be explored.
